Description

Wood Coat (for interior use)

This product is easy to use and has an ant-proof effect.

The application of Wood Coat to wood serves to keep water back without interfering with the breathing of wood and thereby prevent wood weathering and rot. Wood Coat also enhances abrasion resistance of wood and has an ant-proof effect. It is easy to apply. It is best for coating surfaces in kitchens and bathrooms. It can also be applied to exterior surfaces if combined with Bengara.

Note: Wood Coat cannot be used as a coating agent for surfaces coated with kakishibu.

For such surfaces, please use plant oil, Natural Eco Wax, or Kakishibu Coat G.

Action of Wood Coat

1. Wood Coat is an aqueous solution. If you apply it to wood and leave it as is, it will crystalize.

2. The crystals of Wood Coat that was applied to and penetrated into the wood are relatively insoluble in water. Once they solidify in wood, they prevent rain from coming in and tree resin (wood alcohol component) from flowing out, rendering wood fire retardant and protecting it from weathering and rotting.

3. Since the crystals of Wood Coat are hard and resistant to abrasion, it enhances the abrasion resistance of wood.

4. While wood, which has been infiltrated with Wood Coat, is waterproof, it maintains its steam transmitting properties. Consequently, it does not inhibit the breathing of wood, and therefore, wood does not contract or become deformed.

5. Infiltrating wood with Wood Coat will prevent the coating film from falling away and thereby help maintain its beautiful outer appearance.
