Description

Kakishibu Paint (for interior and exterior uses)

This is a safe, harmless coating with water repellency, high durability, and high light resistance.

Rain washes away kakishibu from exterior surfaces. Kakishibu Paint, which has overcome this shortcoming of kakishibu, has water repellency, high durability, and high light resistance and is a safe, harmless product that can be best used for exterior surfaces, kitchens, and bathrooms. Colors include black, yellow, red, ancient, and apricot. These five colors can be mixed to create your favorite color.

◎How to apply Kakishibu Paint

Coating area:

about 10 to 15 m2/liter

<For interior use>

(1)Apply undiluted Kakishibu Paint with a solid brush.

*If you want to dilute the Kakishibu Paint, use undiluted kakishibu liquid. (Add 30% to 80% undiluted kakishibu liquid to Kakishibu Paint. However, please note that diluting light colored Kakishibu Paint with kakishibu will discolor the Kakishibu Paint.)

(2)Rubbing it into the surface before it dries with a waste cloth will enhance the appearance of the wood grain.

(3)Applying Chinese wood oil, perilla oil, linseed oil, Natural Eco Wax, or Wood Coat over the first coat after it dries will enhance the strength of the coating.

<For exterior use>

(1)Use the Kakishibu Paint Thinner S together with kakishibu paint. It will enhance the strength of the paint film, and you will not have to apply a second coat.

(2)Rubbing plant oil into the surface after the paint has dried will add durability and water repellence to the surface.

*For usage instructions and points to note, please refer to the Kakishibu Paint Thinner S leaflet.

Note:

(1)The purpose of rubbing coating liquid into the surface with a waste cloth is to strengthen the coating film. If you do not perform this rubbing process, it will take more time for the surface to dry.

(2)Since the Kakishibu Paint does not contain any solvents, but contains only safe natural components, allow enough time to dry the paint before you start the next step.

(3)Since the Kakishibu Paint reacts chemically with iron, be sure to use a plastic container, not an iron container.

(4)To fluidize the Kakishibu Paint, shake the container well until the paint becomes fluid. If you soak it in hot water (60°C), the paint will fluidize easily.

(5)While the paint is not toxic, be careful not to drink it or get it into the eyes.

(6)If you use plant oil, burn the used waste cloth or dispose of it after washing it with detergent as a used oily waste cloth can cause a fire.
